Please submit requests at least three (3) days before the requested appointment date.

All materials at the State Archives are one-of-a-kind and should be handled with care. Please review our Visitor Policies before arrival.

  • In lieu of an in-person appointment, reference requests can also be submitted directly to [email protected] and an archivist will send you the requested material.
  • If you are interested in Vital Records, and in lieu of an in-person appointment, requests can instead be sent by submitting a Vital Records Request.

  • Pen, marker, or otherwise permanent ink are prohibited.
  • Food and drink are prohibited.
  • Staff will complete all reproductions and copying for you if required.
