Please submit requests at least three (3) days before the requested appointment date.

All materials at the State Archives are one-of-a-kind and should be handled with care. Please review our Visitor Policies before arrival.

In lieu of an in-person appointment, reference requests can also be submitted directly to [email protected] and an archivist will send you the requested material.
If you are interested in Vital Records, and in lieu of an in-person appointment, requests can instead be sent by submitting a Vital Records Request.

Materials cannot be checked out.
Staff will retrieve materials for you if they are not accessible in the Reading Room Area.
All bags will be checked upon sign-in.
Photography is permitted with no flash.
Pen, marker, or otherwise permanent ink are prohibited.
Food and drink are prohibited.
Staff will complete all reproductions and copying for you if required.
